Tastes great with a bit of a kick
I love trying new hot sauces, and I particularly like ones where you get a bit of spiciness and a kick of hot pepper, but you can still taste the sauce–and your food–because it’s not too crazy hot. I like this Disha hot sauce because it has a good flavor, smokiness, and a kick, but it still allows the flavor of the food to shine through. The smell is great. You can smell the smokiness of the chile de arbol when you open it. It tastes very fresh and it’s even got a little texture to it. This might be from the chia seed, tomatillo, and tomato that round out the hot sauce and give it dimension. This was perfect on soft tacos to add flavor and a bit of heat. I also tried it on my morning fried eggs and liked it there, too.I liked how the product arrived with a discussion about how the hot sauce came about and how it draws on family traditions. I felt like I was supporting a small business with this product, which I like.Overall, I was really pleased with this hot sauce and I hope Disha Hot expands out and makes other sauces–a green sauce would be awesome! I felt this sauce was high quality and a good value for the money.

Exceptional flavor! Not surprising at all. From disha
I am reviewing the disha gourmet Mexican hot sauce with a habanero base.I have tried disha sauces in the past and I have always been satisfied. This is no different! They call this a medium hot, which I would relatively agree with. Personally, for me, I find this to be on the medium light end of the scale but that’s just me. I also let my mom try the hot sauce both by itself, with french fries, and also with tostadas, and she found it to definitely be on the medium to slightly above medium heat level. We have pretty much already gone through about a third of the bottle and we just got it recently. These sauce is incredibly fresh, you definitely can get a nice whiff of spice as soon as you open up the bottle, and I am really glad that I was able to try this sauce out.So far, like I’ve mentioned, I have tried it on french fries, tostadas, and just tasted it by itself. It has been great with both french fries and the tostadas. Tomorrow, I might try it with some other items.I would reiterate that I did not find this hot sauce to be overbearing but provides a nice taste and spice profile for whatever it is that you’re putting it on.

“Medium Hot” Seems To Be Enough
Some of our household members enjoy peppers, pepper-sauce and other hot condiments. This product was ordered to give everyone a chance to be ‘lit up.’The sauce arrived in 22 days which was pretty much in the middle of the expected time frame. Its presentation box and glass bottle were in good condition. Both were, more than adequately, factory sealed. The product is brown in color with various colorful bits of this and that peeking through. From my perspective, it is definitely on the hot side even though its box is marked “Medium Hot.” This Disha sauce has a flavor which is fitting for its habanero, Chile and tomato content. The rather small bottle needs to pack a wallop due to being priced at $2 per ounce! However, its gift-box style presentation adds to its “ambiance” (provided that’s even possible for hot sauces.) So far, all of the fires are out and everyone is doing well.

Creamy and flavorful hot sauce with a strong kick
I tend to be picky when it comes to hot sauces, especially in the red variety, as they tend to be extremely watery and taste like hot ketchup. This hot sauce exceeded my expectations. The sauce is nice and creamy. It has a wonderful kick to it, and a little goes a long way. Right now, it has become my go-to sauce since it tastes great on almost anything.

Solid hot sauce!
Pretty solid hot sauce. Had it on wings and really liked the spice level (spicy, but did not hurt). It’s a little smoky and quite flavorful. I usually go for vinegary buffalo wing sauce so this was quite the change up, and I gotta say, I’m gonna keep using it on wings and trying it on more food as well.

Tasty Hot Sauce
As a hot head, I am a huge fan of hot sauces and consume it daily, liberally sprinkling on my food. The heat of a hot sauce is in the tongue of a taster, and I have a moderately high tolerance for spiciness. Disha Hot will give a spicy kick to your favorite dishes. This sauce gets it heat from a combination of habanero, jalapeño and chile de Arbol peppers. Anyone can add hot peppers to a sauce. But where Disha Hot excels is the other ingredients: tomato, tomatillo, lime cilantro, garlic, salt and chia seed. These give the sauce a combination of citrus and well-rounded depth from the tomatoes and tomatillos. This lets the sauce complement a wide variety of foods. It also provides some inspiration for my home made hot sauce. As an added bonus, Disha Hot comes in an elegant box that makes it a great gift for your favorite hot head.

Disha Hot Gourmet Mexican Hot Sauce, Not your average hot sauce!
This hot sauce has just the right level of heat—strong but not overwhelming. What really sets Disha Hot apart is the depth of flavor it brings, not just the spiciness. It pairs especially well with New Mexican and Mexican dishes. It’s much more versatile than the other varieties and works with a wide range of foods.I’m glad I gave this Disha Hot a try! It doesn’t have that typical one-note “just hot” taste. Instead, it adds real flavor—even to unexpected dishes like a simple tortilla with cheese or a baked fish sandwich.Definitely worth the money, and I’m happy I stepped out of my comfort zone to discover it.

Great Aroma and Taste
I ordered this Disha Hot Gourmet Mexican Hot Sauce | Habanero & Chile de Árbol | Spicy Salsa Picante | Tomato & Tomatillo Blend | Vegan & Gluten-Free | 1 Bottle, 5 oz to use on tacos.I always enjoy trying new hot sauces to use on tacos. I prefer sauces that have some kick to them but won’t make my scalp start to sweat. Everyone’s tolerance for spice level is different, but I find that what’s generally referred to as “medium” hits my sweet spot for heat. This sauce from Disha falls right in there. The sauce has a good taste to it. It has a great aroma. The consistency is just right for tacos. It’s not so thin that it runs right out but it’s not so thick that it won’t permeate the meat in the taco. If I were rating strictly on taste, aroma, and heat level, this would get 5 stars. But, the cost just can’t be ignored. This sauce is pricey. The cost per ounce is at least double, and in some cases triple or even quadruple the price of similar products. The only sauces that come close on a cost-per-ounce basis are those made with peppers like Carolina Reaper that command a high price because their wholesale cost is so much higher than common habaneros or chiles de arbol. So I had to knock off one star.

Spicy and authentic
So spicy but also flavorful! This hot sauce packs a lot of flavor not just heat, although the heat is definitely there! I would put this on the “plus” side of medium, definitely at the top of my heat tolerance. But because of all of the additional flavors in the profile, I found it myself really enjoying it even though my mouth was on fire. The ingredients list is super clean: Tomato, Tomatillo, Distilled White Vinegar, Red Onion, Lime Juice, Habanero, Toasted Chie de Árbol, Jalapeño, Cilantro, Garlic, Salt, Chia Seed. I love that they use Chia seeds to naturally thicken the sauce. And this hot sauce definitely has a lot of texture (seeds) and body, much like what you would find in authentic sauces in Mexico. I love how beautifully it was presented, this would make a wonderful addition to a gift basket. Price to $10 with an additional 20% off coupon at the time of this review, it’s not the best value, but when you are purchasing smaller batch authentic hot sauce, I think that’s about an average price.
