Guilt-Free protein noodles
Guiltless way to eat noodles. I’m trying to stick to my protein diet and I needed me some noodles. These are pre-cooked easy to go. Just heat up and enjoy the beefy flavor. Very easy to make and also very expensive. The texture can be adjusted by how long you cook it. I just like to fry it up a little bit just to get it warm and get a non-mushy texture. Smells amazing and the protein content helps me eat guilt-free.

A much healthier ramen!
If you need a healthy ramen alternative to the old classic brands, this one deliveries that experience right here. And just looking through the ingredients, there’s really like no junk in there just some very light preservatives is all. Generally, if something says it’s high protein and from vegetables, you got to almost minus whatever grams of protein it says it have.

yummy soup.
good tatsing. , easy to make, comes with a lot in the box, similar texture to other soups from the store. good value for the box set, sodium content to be expected in sauce packet, decent good size for portions.

I was hopeful, but no.
Not a fan. Noodles are a weird texture, which I could get over, but the broth is also bland and does not smell good at all when you first put it in the bowl. I really wanted to love these but it’s a pass.

Great for after work out snacks.
I had the opportunity to try the pork and also now the beef flavored ramen of this brand. The reason I am giving it 4 stars:I tried this after a hard workout when I was super hungry and needed something quick. This is an excellent after work out snack. It has high protein and I found it filling.I did doctor it up with a hard boiled egg and some kimchi. I added a little Thai basil to the ramen. This made a huge difference.Making it:

Tasty, protein-packed ramen with vegetable and beef topping
If you like whole-wheat pasta and are looking for new protein sources, you’ll enjoy VOLO VERO’s High-Protein “Spicy Beef” Flavor Instant Ramen Noodles 8-Pack. The nutrition label is impressive, with 32 g of protein (the equivalent of 4 extra large eggs), 25% daily value of iron, 3 g of fat and no cholesterol for only 230 cal per package/serving. The box I received in April 2025 has an expiration date in September 2026.

Bland and has a strange taste, but not inedible
I should first note that I prepared these by boiling the noodles and then adding in the seasoning and garnish packets.I am not exactly a fan of these, but I don’t think they are awful. The noodles, after soaking for about five minutes, have a bit of grit to them. They don’t have the bounce of regular noodles, so for anyone with texture sensitivities,

Healthy ramen with a few quirks
I appreciate what this ramen is going for—a healthier, high-protein alternative that’s quick to make and doesn’t come with the usual grease and fillers. The texture is definitely on the firm and grainy side, more like whole wheat pasta than traditional ramen, so it takes a bit of getting used to. I found the flavor of the broth to be on the mild side,

It’s OK but…
Definitely not the best Ramen I have ever had. If you are interested in this because it has healthy ingredients when compared to other Ramen then you might be happy with this. The taste is not terrible but I would recommend ignoring the instructions on the package which say to just pour boiling water over it and wait 5 minutes.

The box I received in April 2025 has an expiration date in September 2026.The photos show the plain ramen 5 minutes after addition of 1 cup of boiling water. The noodles tasted bland and had a chewy whole-grain texture. The beef seasoning was a pleasant surprise, with separate packets of dried vegetables and beef mixture including onion, chili, garlic and curry powders. I added all of the vegetables and half of the beef seasoning, which made a flavorful and spicy dish with 14% of the daily value of sodium (instead of 27% in the whole packet). With the escalating prices of proteins these days, I’m happy to have this tasty, shelf-stable entrée that reminds me of my college days, but with a healthier nutrition profile.

This means you really only taste the noodles as you’re eating, which tastes almost like nothing. It doesn’t matter how long you let this sit.The seasoning packet has a little spiciness to it when tasting the powder, and the flavor isn’t as concentrated as other instant noodle packets. When added to water, the flavor becomes more subtle. Normally I can appreciate mild broths, but since the noodles don’t pick up flavor, it doesn’t work well here.I’m not sure if this is from the noodles or the seasoning, but I also noted a weird taste that was almost akin to potpourri or something similarly fragrant. It definitely stood out in the beginning and made these less enjoyable. I can’t quite place it, but it’s not present when you smell it before cooking. If I were to cook this again, I would cook the noodles first, drain some of the water, then add the seasoning and garnish and let it sit. I would also consider trying to fry these or thicken the broth somehow to allow for more seasoning in each bite—like maybe add an egg (I know, I know. In this economy?!)All that said, I do appreciate the protein content and this isn’t the hardest protein food to stomach. I didn’t really struggle with finishing my serving, so it’s not the worst, but I think it could use a lot of improvement. For the price, I’m not sure I’d recommend these, but they could be good with some creativity.

The taste is not terrible but I would recommend ignoring the instructions on the package which say to just pour boiling water over it and wait 5 minutes. I tried this with the first packet and the noodles came out chewy with a weird texture. The next packet I cooked in the way that I usually cook ramen which is to put hot water with the ingredients in the bowl and then microwave it for 3 minutes. Then I let it sit until it has cooled a bit and it came out quite a bit better. I do understand that the healthiest options are not always the tastiest so I guess you have to weigh one against the other.
